Yesterday was the London Vegan Festival, we have been counting down to this event for, what has seemed at times like a life time!
The car was fully loaded and ready for our final destination, Kensington, by 8am. The mornings operation was run with the military precision of, well, the military. We were blessed with quiet London roads complimented by Mits’ top notch map reading.
We got to the venue at 8.30am, bags of time with doors opening at 11am or so we thought.
We unpacked bags, stuck up posters, added badges to our THV shoppers, laid out muffins and cupcakes and put out the tombola prizes.
Our last job was to add the raffle numbers to the prizes, something we got finished as the crowds came to have a look at our treats. Everyone walks at least two ciruits of the venue, the first to check out all the goods on offer and then the second circuit is to buy. A sensible approach. We were lucky and had lots of people coming back to buy.
We met many great people yesterday and chatted so much! It’s good to meet and greet so many people who we have emailed with since starting up in January and then all the new folks we met too. Also good to get THV out there into the vegan community and let them know what we are all about.
We have been thinking about getting a vegan stall in London, somewhere we could sell our home baked treats. Yesterday we heard about two festivals in the next 2 weeks where we might be able to get stalls, one in Broadwater and the other in Lambeth. Look out, we could be coming to an event near you soon!
