After several recommendations, Sash and I decided to mosey on down to west London and visit 222 Veggie Vegan Restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had the all you can eat lunchtime buffet (everything was vegan) which is £7.50. The word buffet had started some alarm bells in my head and I was a little bit apprehensive imagining a mock meat type affair, but hurrah it was all ‘proper’ vegan food.
Among the dishes were: chickpea curry, coleslaw, avocado salad and a tasty tofu thing (kinda looked like a falafal), it was all delicious (I went up 3 times!!).
For dessert we shared the 222 pancake (a wholemeal pancake with a scoop of icecream in the middle and custard and chocolate sauce on the outside) which had also been highly recommended. It not only looked amazing but tasted sooooo good.
There were also some other places for us to take a look at whilst we were in the area so we stopped by The Gate first. It wasn’t open for service but we had a chat to the manager, and left some calling card cupcakes.
Blah Blah Blah was also not open yet (the perils of visiting places before dinner time during the week I guess), but we did manage to leave yet more cupcakes and some flyers too.
Sasha and I then parted ways and I stopped off at Inspiral Lounge to pick up a takeaway for dinner for two. They appear to have had a little bit of work done since my last visit and they now have an ice cream bar! I however tried to not let this distract me from ordering the shiitake tart,
vegan lasagne,
and a slice of the peanut butter cup cake.
Vegan food? Not too shabby my friends not too shabby.
