After a good few years of complete disinterest in nail varnish, sometime last year a love affair with half moon manis and lots of Barry M for Christmas the flame has been reignited. And luckily for my nails there are lots of brands that have vegan polishes. I was never very into nail art before, but lately I have really enjoyed playing around with dots and stripes..and space…
Of course some polishes you can get now are like nail art in a bottle which is perfect for me as 9 times out of 10 I will have just applied a coat and the baby will wake up.

Something I have started being more conscious of is the Big 3. Obviously nail varnish has chemicals in it but some compaines have removed the big 3 chemicals (Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde and Toluene) from their formulas as they are toxic.
Big Green Smile offered me some Kure Bazaar non toxic polishes to try out. They are up to 85% natural and it is definitely the best ‘natural’ polish I have tried, I couldn’t really tell the difference to a regular brand.

My other favourite brands at the moment are Models Own, Butter London (another 3 free make), Illamasqua and A England. I have a Flickr set here if you are interested in keeping up to date with my collection.
What are your favourite vegan nail varnishes?
Beauty without cruelty now don’t use those chemicals either… (the newer designed stuff, that’s why it went up in price).
