What I do with a packet of biscuits, a carton of custard and an apple? Well I make apple crumble of sorts! There is nothing like a bung-it-together sweet pudding, after a reasonably healthy dinner is there?!
An apple is one of your 5-a-day after all. I like my apple raw in this dessert, I like the crunch of the apple against the soft cookie texture and moist custard.
Pud for 2 people:
Step 1: peel (optional) and chop apple, layer into bottom of bowl. Split evenly between 2 bowls.
step 2: crumble (as much) biscuit (as you want) on top of apple. I used 2 on each.
Step 3: Heat custard and pour over crumble 🙂
Cream would also work. With cream I would cook the apple to give some heat to the pudding. Other flavour combinations would work to, such as grape, cream & hobnob.
