Spring is a coming…

Which means it is time to say goodbye to the lovely, tasty, comforting WINTER FOOD and move into salad zone.  Don’t get me wrong, I wont be missing the cold weather, grey skies or rain BUT I will miss pies, mash, stews and custard.

And it is quite likely I will eat one or two of those comfy food items over the summer, if the skies look grey.  It wont be as often as in winter because I try to eat as seasonally as possible (which means mainly colorful salad) and who fancies pie on a hot day…? (Yes, I see you raising your hand and waving).

So here is my homage to my favorite foods from this winter.

Roast veg, nut burger, green veggies and swede and carrot mash

I have been visiting Ruby Tuesday in Greenwich market this winter :)… I am (100%) sure this will continue.  Ha!

Carrot cake loaf and baked chocolate, raspberry donut
Sausage, mash, veggies and onion gravy
Home made apple cinnamon raisin pie and custard
Home grown cauliflower “cheese” with kale
Tomato, basil soup and crusty bread

I don’t know about you I am hungry…for custard!
