Asparagasm at Vozars, Brixton

11th July 2014

Just had a super duper dinner with Sash tonight at the Asparagasm pop up. Asparagasm has been around for a while now but their one off dining extravaganzas have so far eluded me.

I haven’t been eating as well as I should lately so it was soooooo good to eat some pretty, wholesome, ‘proper’ food. We did the 3 courses for £20 trying out 2 of the 3 options for each course.

Complementary papas arrugadas with mojo rojo.

Battle of the ceviche to start and the celeriac and pea totally blew the corn and papaya out the water.

Loved both the mains, we very nearly passed swapping point (the point at which two diners stop eating half way and swap plates).

If you’re eating at Asparagasm you have to try the dish with the asparagus right?!

Still room for dessert and I had the unexpected joy of seeing the coconut sorbet was not sorbet like at all but lovely and creamy. I got the impression Sash was very happy with the Bocker glory, apparently she got all the tiffin. Sometimes swapping at half way point doesn’t always work out well for both parties!

Bring on the next Asparagasm event, we will DEFINITELY be there!

They are at Vozars in Brixton Village until Sunday so get down there (and book a table as seating is limited).
