Some of the things I am loving at the moment:

Prêt a Manger. I definitely had a period of being really disgruntled with Pret and their non vegan friendly ways. For a long time they had no vegan options, but since they’ve jumped on the green/coconut/nut milk band wagon they’ve gone from no options to some. Most recently that have started doing nut milkshakes.

You can also find coconut yoghurt, green smoothies, a green sandwich (clearly this has been sitting in draft for too long as the green sandwich is now no more :() , pretzels and look out for soups too.

Rhythm. They very kindly sent us their coconut milk to try, but it wasn’t till I saw the packaging that I realised I had already been enjoying their mango kilfir.

I regularly use coconut cream in a couscous recipe for my little girl, but all out of coconut cream I thought I would see if Rhythm coconut would be up to the job. It left the couscous light and fluffy, whereas the coconut cream can make things a bit stodgy. Thumbs up Rhythm!

I also added it to green and chocolate smoothies and hot chocolate.

Loving Hut. Cheap and cheerful init! They have a big menu and in addition to the Chinese dishes there are several burgers.

♥ My first tamale thanks to Chef Perez Cocina (and quarrygirl for the headsup). Also the amazing Colombian pickle not pictured. Follow him here to see where he will pop up next.

♥ Dinner with a view. I was most impressed to see the Oxo Tower Brasserie had a proper vegan dessert, not the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had but really appreciating the effort.

{ Sri Lankan dhal, chilli cauliflower bhaji, poppadoms }

{ Chocolate cake, mango sorbent, mango compote }
