Hello and Welcome!

This site has been put together by two very happy vegans who want to share all the vegan knowledge they have discovered with you! So get comfy and have a good look around.

We have included a section on Getting Started for those new to being vegan, there are also recipes, information on shopping, books, fashion, animal testing and labelling. We will also do our best to keep you updated with forthcoming events and bring you feedback and photo’s from any we do attend.

There is a new section this month, competitions, and to kick start the new section we have a competition from Igennus Healthcare Nutrition on Echium Seed Oil. Reading their guest blog first might help .

The vegan information included is there to make veganism accessible to everyone (vegan, vegetarian, dairy free folk) and enjoyable for all. There are suitable products everywhere for us, some are incidentally vegan but they are still vegan!

Additionally you may find details on greener alternatives – for us, being vegan incorporates a whole suite of good things; organic, fair trade and environmental. Although its not always possible to buy food, goods and services that meet all this criteria there is no reason not to try! Where you choose to spend your money can make a big difference.

Also this month

This month THV are heading to Bath for the Viva’s Incredible Veggie Fayre on Saturday 6th February with the usual vegan treats and tombola with all the prizes donated by Esty.

If you’ve not heard of Etsy before, it is an ’crafty’ online shop where everything is handmade or vintage. EFA are a group of animal loving Etsy sellers who have joined together to support animal charities. They are donating prizes for our Viva tombola and all proceeds will be given to their chairty of choice – Cedar Hill Animal Sanctuary.

New stuff

THV have been given sweetbird smoothies to taste and review by beyond the bean, what out for the review. Beyond the bean are also writing a guest blog and giving prixes for our February competitions!!! Feel the vegan love.

THV were reading the observer monthly food magasine and read about biodegradable chewing gum made by peppersmith. We have been in touch and they are going to provide tasters. We also asked about competition prizes and will let you know the outcome.
