Tasty Porridge Recipes

Porridge is such a good start to the day whether winter, spring, summer or autumn.  If you are going to eat it everyday it is important to keep it interesting.

Apple & Sultana Porridge (Raw option)

Ingredients

  • porridge oats
  • water
  • 1/2 grated apple
  • handful washed sultanas
  • 2 drops of almond extract
  1. Cooked your porridge in water with the sultanas.
  2. When cooked added the grated apple and almond extract to the pan, mix well and serve.

Raw option – do as above without cooking the oats.

Hemp Seed Porridge (Raw option)

Ingredients

  • oats
  • hemp seed
  • soya milk
  • small banana
  • spinkle of dried cranberries & mixed seeds.
  1. Use equal portions of oats and hemp seed and cook with soya milk.
  2. Once done serve in a bowl add the sliced banana, cranberries and mixed seeds.

Raw option – do as above, substituting water for milk and without cooking the oats and hemp seed.
