Did you see the smoke over blackheath on Sunday? It was feverishly hot in my kitchen. Partly due to the heat from the oven but mainly from my supersonic baking.

Today, Monday 1st, is iron cupcake day - two flavours or more & is the 4th (!!!!) time I have been as a baker.  The only reason that I starter was to keep mits company.

Each time I have been quite excited and expectant of great things. However this enthusiasm has been previously misplaced bearing in mind my first entrant was left over muffins topped with my first EVER icing effort!

Today I am even more excited and expectant than usual.  I am entering not 1, not 2 but 3 cupcakes; chocolate & ginger zing, orange & apricot and banana, maple & walnut.

Why so many flavours?

Well with the Brighton eco veggie Fayre  (Saturday 20th March) looming in our not too distant future it is time for thv to get our creative cake hats on and at the cupcake challenge you can get your votes. A way of funding out what Josephine public think of my new flavours.

There is, as usual, a but with my entrants…  I ran out of icing sugar!! As you will see in the photos below.  I prefer them this way anyway
