Food glorious food!  We have always been foodies, and enjoy talking about recipes almost as much as cooking and eating them.  Rather than feel restricted by a vegan diet, which is most non vegan’s perception, we enjoy the challenge of making tasty food without animal products, and  have become more adventurous in our cooking as a whole new world of products has become available to us.

Texture and flavour are important in any cooking and should always be considered at the start of all recipes.  Bearing these two key elements in mind you will make sucessful dishes and you know that you have done a good job if a non vegan doesn’t notice that the food is vegan!

Being a vegan cook does involve chopping lots of fresh, lovely veggies, this is unavoidable in a healthy diet.  Also take the time to browse your local health shop for vegan products, some familiar products are already adapted for vegans such as pesto sauce and mayonnaise.  Indian and Asian cuisine are vegan friendly or can be easily adapted, such sauces are readily available in health shops and supermarkets, always read the ingredients label if not marked as vegan just to be sure.
