Festival Food
21st July 2009
Last Sunday I went to the Lovebox festival in Victoria Park, East London. It’s the first time I have been to a music festival , I have been to many car shows, where the only vegetable you will see amongst all the burgers and hot dogs is either in a jacket or deep fried. Needless to say I didn’t hold much hope on the food front.
I had checked on the Lovebox website before to see if they had a list of caterers but the only company mentioned was The Hurly Burly an eco vegetarian cafe, so I was very excited about that.

I popped in and dropped off some business cards ( our new flyers arrived yesterday!) and the food looked good and they did indeed have some vegan options. However I actually didn’t end up eating there as I was pleasantly surprised to find a whole little corner of food stalls with vegan friendly items on their menus.

In the end since my husband raved about his yummy burrito and definitely thought I would enjoy it too, I went for one and Freebird Burritos where more than happy to russle up a vegan version for me. After my Lovebox experience I won’t be afraid of festival food again!
