Morning juicy
27 January 2009
Nature provides the most gorgeous food with the brightest colours and the best nutrients. For me the mornings are the best time to digest a glass full of health & goodness.
I don’t know about you but I sometimes struggle to get up in the mornings. I have been known, on a lazy day, to get up, shower and out the door in 15 minutes and make it to work in time!! On these occasions I don’t leave the house feeling energised and relaxed. Despite the extra lay in I tend to feel more manic, rushed yet at the same time half asleep, and I might wake up by mid morning if I am lucky.
On a good day, which is fortunately more often than not, I get up a little bit early so I can make a morning juice. If I am being super organised I cut the fruit the night before. Anything for extra bed time! The top two juices are carrot & apple with ginger or a green juice which includes anything green!
After all that a lovely glass of bright green, naturel juice which tastes soooooooo good it is hard not to gulp it down. I am sure I read somewhere that you need to drink it within 15 mins to get all the nutrients, hee hee, that’s fine with me.
Carrot, apple & ginger juice looks just as good and tastes a little sweeter. This one is a good juice to start off with if you are new to juicing. I use more carrots than apples, maybe try 50/50 the first time and tweek the juice to your taste after than. Both have a sweet taste so you can’t ruin it.
