Sunday the whole family went off to Stonor Park in Henley-On-Thames for the 2009 VW Owners’ Rally. My husband is a bit of a Golf enthusiast and this is one of the many shows he goes to every summer. I hadn’t been for a while (car shows are best taken in small doses!) so I actually managed to enjoy myself.

I have to say Henlyey-On-Thames is a beautiful place and I would have actually liked to have seen Stonor manor house but I had a feeling it was at the top of one of the very steep hills, which was a bit too much hard work on a scorching day with a buggy. So whilst Daddy prepared the car for Show & Shine competition Baby and I wandered down to look at the Camper Vans – now that’s what I call recycling!

There was of course Beetles there old and new and even Herbie made an appearance – thrice!

The rest of the day was spent on a blanket under a tree relaxing, which was just as well, due to a flat tyre on the M4 it took us 4 hours to get home. Hence the service station dinner (baby toes not included).
