I know that you already know the book that made me change my veggie ways and become a vegan but I must pay hommage to the book that changed my life for the better…..

Skinny bitch – not something anyone would call me haha.  A short, sharp blunt title of a book that would either make you want to pick it up and read it from sheer curiousity about the content.  It could after all be the latest Jackie Collins after all…..  Or it is a title that might make you take a wide birth, maybe if you don’t like to be told frank home truths.

I love the tone and intention of this book, its not excessively long but then it doesn’t have to be as there is no unnecessary fluff.  This book is written by two straight talking woman, the kind you wouldn’t ask why you were overweight as they would simply tell you that you ate too much of the worng thing!

Skinny bitch is really a diet book, it talks about all the crap our food, it looks at slaughter houses, preservatives and the conclusion is if you eat rubbish thats what you look like.  I don’t think their intention is to turn people vegan but I am pretty sure that those who have had the courage to read this book have made major changes to their diet.  Well, unless you are thick skinned and really don’t care about your own health or animal welfare.  Then there are the others who simply wouldn’t have th courage to read it…  Buy it for them or read them exerts.

This book has been a best seller, they have written a recipe book and expanded into writing about skinny bastards too!  These wonderful woman provided me with enough information to become a very happy vegan.  It is importtant to live life without regret but I wish I had read it sooner.  As a vegetarian I now think I lived in a middle ground that didn’t do enough good as I could have.  Don’t get me wrong being veggie is good but the next step is vegan…  To be taken when you are ready but the sooner the better!
