1st Vegan food swap – Sasha
30 July 2012
Mitsu, otherwise known as the grand master of GREAT IDEAS, had another great idea!
First of all she did her usual thing on the world wide web and found a vegan food swap in Canada. Then realising that it was too far to actually participate she thought outside of her box and created the THV vegan food swap. Tadaaaaaaaaa!
There was a great response, a real mix bag of peops.
I received my food parcel from Lucy who has an offal website. I am not going to lie, I had reservations. However look what I received…
Unfortunately there was a breakage and the meadow sweet cordial (that was made from herbs she gathered) smashed. Apparently it tastes like elder flower cordial and sounds delish.
As well as being beautifully wrapped there was a letter with a recipe, and some flower seeds from Neils Yard Save the Bee Campaign and party poppers more. Whoop!
“What else was in the box” I hear you cry….
Homemade wholewheat pistachio short bread
Thai citrus broad beans from Norfolk
Pukka Green mix that went straight into a morning smoothie
Dried blueberries which were added to my home made raw granola (recipe here)
Some Neil Yards tester creams..
It was a great box of loot. I actually received loads of new stuff that I have never even tried that totally suited by lifestyle from a non vegan – WOW!
So sign up here, get involved. Have some vegan fun!
I sent a parcel to Nicky which I hope she liked (crosses fingers & toes). Guess I better stay tuned to her website to find out…
